Terms of Use

1. Estimates are indicative

Every figure produced by Quoteio is an indicative estimatebased on regional cost data — it is not a contractual quotation. Real project costs vary based on site conditions, materials, contractor pricing, planning constraints, and unforeseen issues. We do not guarantee that any builder will quote within the range we show, or that the work can be completed at any particular price.

2. Builder directory

The builders shown on our results page are either paying customers or partners that we curate manually. We do not warrant their work, hold their insurance certificates, or underwrite any contract you enter into with them. Always:

  • Get at least three written quotes before committing.
  • Check insurance and accreditation directly with the builder.
  • Use a written contract for any work over £500.

Quoteio is not a party to any agreement between you and a builder. Disputes are between you and them.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information.
  • Scrape, copy, or reverse-engineer the estimator or our pricing data for commercial use without our written consent.
  • Attempt to overload, disrupt, or compromise the security of the service.
  • Use Quoteio to harass or spam builders.

4. Liability

Quoteio is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, including (without limitation) the cost difference between our estimate and an actual builder's quote.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

5. Privacy

How we handle your data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Continued use of Quoteio after a change means you accept the updated terms.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
